With the summer holiday break almost here, now is the time to start planning your summer break with the children. Here at Golden Gate Holiday Centre, we have many on-site activities for them. You can pre-plan and reserve their places through our Online Booking system. Your youngsters can have a fun filled time at one of our kids clubs for various age groups, try their hand at Soft Archery, Disc golf and don’t forget our renowned fun, a sweetastic chocolate party which is guaranteed to give them a sugar rush!
Also nearby to our Holiday Park in Towyn, North Wales you will find access to many off -park attractions in nearby villages and towns. The area has many stunning award winning beaches for family fun; try nearby Old Colwyn Beach, great for water sports and building sandcastles, Llandudno Beach where you can go swimming if the weather permits, or take a donkey ride along the golden sands.
Totally Ape in Old Colwyn
Providing exercise, adventure and fun, set in a secure environment for those aged under 12. You will find a variety of frames for kids to clamber, slide, explore and climb, as well as a separate area for toddlers and babies.
Welsh Mountain Zoo
This is a conservation zoo, set high above Colwyn Bay and in beautiful gardens and grounds. Daily shows here include the Chimp Encounter, Penguin’s Parade, Birds of Prey display and Sea Lion Feeding, with an added bonus of intriguing and exciting displays by the sea lions in the pool and activity area.
Knightlys Fun Park
Near to the beach in Towyn you will find this amusement park, where the whole family can have fun on over 20 fairground rides including the Phoenix Ride, the Dragon family roller coaster and the Extreme Machine Miami, guaranteed to thrill everyone from toddlers to the grandparents. Bring along your loose change to play the 2p machines or win some serious prizes on a game of bingo.
Eirias Park in Colwyn Bay
For the water babies, a visit to Eirias Park is a must. A 25 metre, six lane swimming and leisure pool, with a separate water slide will provide hours of fun filled action. Outdoor facilities here include Bowling Greens, Tennis Courts, Boating Lake and a fantastic Children’s Playground with picnic facilities.
