Dog Friendly Caravan Parks in North Wales

One of the great things about owning a static caravan or hiring one is that you can take your pet along on dog-friendly caravan parks. Not all parks are dog-friendly so you should check before you commit to buy, or arrange to hire one for your holiday.

It’s always a tug on the heart strings when you leave your dog in kennels, both for your pet and you. Even if the kennels are luxurious and you know your dog will be pampered, it’s not a good feeling when you drive away.

A dog-friendly Caravan Park

At Golden Gate, we were one of the first caravan parks in North Wales to realise that holidaymakers were happier and enjoyed their holidays more when they were able to bring their pets.  We also appreciated that the surrounding area of the park is what every dog dreams about, so we became dog-friendly.

Naturally, dogs need to be well behaved both on site and off.

Renting on dog-friendly caravan parks

Caravans can be hired on our park either through our authorised letting agents or directly from owners through caravan portals such as Rent My Caravan. No matter how you choose to hire a caravan usually owners provide full details of their holiday homes. This includes whether or not they permit pets.  In some case, you’ll find there is a restriction on the number of dogs and sometimes even the size. If the information isn’t visible ensure you check what is permitted before you book.

Where to take your dog

There are dog-friendly beaches, where dogs can romp through the sand in certain areas all year round. Restricted zones are clearly marked. The countryside around Abergele and Towyn provides wide open spaces for your dog to explore. And few visitors fail to be impressed by the spectacular scenery in this most popular part of North Wales.

If you feel like a challenge and your dog has lots of energy you might want to explore Snowdonia. There are several hiking trails on the lower levels of the mountain and again scenery to die for.

Hopefully, you won’t need one, but there are several excellent vets in the area.

Dog-friendly caravan parks in the UK are easy to get to with great transport links and Golden Gate Holiday Centre is no different.  So give your dog a treat this year on a caravan holiday in North Wales.
